DRIVEN CARGO ENGAGING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a motorized remote-controlled load gripping device capable of performing centering, gripping, locking and centroid positioning work to any loads provided with the engaging accessory of standardized shape and interval. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a compass 15 composed of legs 16 and 17 for supporting load gripping mechanisms 18 and 19 for the load 13 provided with the gripping accessory 14 at a free end part. Two connecting rods 21 and 22 form a deformable diamond together with the upper part of the compass 15. The lower end parts of the connecting rods 21 and 22 are connected to the pedestal 27 of a guide rod 28 along which a slider 29 for forming the head part of the compass 15 moves. Two jacks 45 and 46 operate the opening and closing of the compass. A connection arm 30 connects the pedestal 27 of the rod 28 to a rotatable hanging tool 10 and a centroid is adjusted by the jack 52. The device is used for crane equipment such as a tower type crane.
