<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is small-sized and lightweight and prevents the direct viewing for the high temperature part of an engine from behind and lowers temperature by sufficiently mixing the engine exhaust gas with the secondary air, and can effectively reduce the infrared ray radiation of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An infrared ray radiation reducing device for an engine is equipped with a curved cylinder shaped duct 1 into which the secondary air is blown by the ejector effect in the flow of the engine exhaust A from an inlet edge 1A to an outlet edge 1B and a plurality of curved cylindrical bodies (a)-(d) which are accommodated in the duct 1 and extend from the vicinity of the inlet edge 1A to the vicinity of the outlet edge IB and whose both edges are opened. Accordingly, the direct viewing for the high temperature part of the engine from behind is prevented, and the engine exhaust A and the secondary air are mixed sufficiently to lower the temperature.</p> |
