<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the waste thermal energy during the period from the closure of the closing apparatus to the discharge of coke, and to facilitate the dust collection, by connecting a waste-gas recovery pipe through a damper to each ascension pipe connected to the carbonization chamber, and connecting a heat-recovery apparatus to the recovery pipe. CONSTITUTION:The ascension pipe 6 is connected to each carbonization chamber 2, and the dry main 7 is connected to all ascension pipes 6. The coke oven gas generated by the carbonization of coal in the combustion chamber 3 is transferred through the ascension pipe 6 and the dry main 7 to the refining apparatus. The waste-gas recovery pipe 9 is connected to all of the ascension pipes 6, a damper 11 is inserted between the pipes 6 and 9, and the recovery pipe 9 is connected to the heat-recovery apparatus 12, etc. The closing apparatus 10 and the damper 11 are operated to recover the coke oven gas through the dry main and to preheat the air for combustion.</p> |
