COMPOSITION FOR REMOVING WATER-REPELLENT SILICONE COATING FILM ON GLASS SURFACE

PURPOSE:To remove a water-repellent silicone, coating film on the surface of glass in a short time by dispersing alpha alumina particles having given average particle diameter into an aqueous medium by the use of magnesium aluminum silicate and/or a chelate compound as a dispersant. CONSTITUTION:20-7wt.% at alumina particles having 0.05-10mum average particle diameter is blended with 0.1-20wt.% magnesium aluminum silicate and/or 0.01-20wt.% chelate compound (e.g. ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) as a dispersant to give a blend. The blend is optionally mixed with 1-60wt.% dispersion stabilizer such as ethylene glycol to prepare a composition for removing a water-repellent silicone coating film on the surface of glass.
