<p>PURPOSE:To achieve the wide band of a millimeter-wave radar apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A millimeter-wave oscillator is composed of the following: a quartz oscillator 1 which supplies a signal having a frequency of Fc; a pulse generator 2; a phase synchronization oscillator 3; and an up-converter 4 which generates a pulse signal having a frequency of Ft=(N1+N2) Fc. The pulse signal is passed through a distributor 8; it is amplified by using a high-output amplifier 9 or 10; it is radiated as a radar signal from a transmission antenna 12 via an RF switch 11. Radar reflected waves are guided to a mixer preamplifier 6 via a reception antenna 13; they are coherent-received by using a phase detector 7. When the title radar apparatus changes over the frequency of Fc at the quartz oscillator 1 sequentially, it generates a plurality of radar signals whose central frequency of Ft is different from each other. In the power amplifiers 9, 10, amplification bands are overlapped partly, and at least one wave out of the radar signals is overlapped and amplified.</p> |
