<p>PURPOSE: To execute highly efficient adsorption with a pressure swing adsorption(PSA) system by executing the direct or indirect adjustment of a feed flow rate in correspondence to a fluctuation in the demand of a product or impurity level in a treatment zone of the PSA system. CONSTITUTION: This PSA system which produces a desired refined gas from a feed gas containing impurities has beds A and B packed with adsorbents. At the time of operation, the feed flow rate is controlled in correspondence to the product demand and thereafter, the purity of the product is detected and is compared with the purity previously given with respect to the feed flow rate. If there is a fluctuation in the level, an electric signal is sent from a sensor to a computer and a signal corresponding to a change is emitted and is received in a converter 65. The feed flow rate is regulated by finely regulating a control valve 66. The feed flow rate is determined by referencing a suitable turn down curve in the manner described above, by which the efficiency of the PSA system is improved.</p> |
