CULTURE CONTAINING LIVE MICROBIAL CELL OF BIFIDOBACTERIUM-BREVE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject culture, having specific values of lactic acid acidity and viable cell number of Bifidobacterium-breve by mixing and culturing the Bifidobacterium-breve and Lactobacillus-casei in a culture medium consisting essentially of milk. CONSTITUTION:Bifidobacterium-breve [Bifidobacterium-breve SBR3212 (FERM P-11915)] and Lactobacillus-casei [Lactobacillus-casei AST-8 (FERM P-12704)] are mixed and cultured in a culture medium consisting essentially of milk under aerobic conditions to afford the objective culture having >=1.0% lactic acid acidity and >=2X10<9>/ml viable cell number of the Bifidobacterium-breve.
