PURPOSE:To provide the title film which has excellent abrasion and scratch resistance and neither releases a polymer dust resulting from film abrasion during calendering nor generates a burr, shavings, and a dust during slitting. CONSTITUTION:The title film is made from a polyester obtained from an acid component consisting mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and at least one glycol component, and contains 100-10,000ppm fine inert inorganic compound particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-0.5mum and a Mohs hardness of 5 or higher, 500-20,000ppm fine inert inorganic compound particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-2.0mum and a Mohs hardness of 2.5 or higher but below 5, and 500-20,000ppm fine inert inorganic compound particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-5.0mum and a Mohs hardness below 2.5. The film has a density, rho, of 1.388g/cm<3> or higher, and the sum, Y, of the degrees of thermal shrinkage in the lengthwise and crosswise directions, respectively, of the film at 150 deg.C is 4.5% or higher. |
