PRODUCTION OF ULTRA-FINE FIBER

PURPOSE:To produce an ultra-fine fiber suitable for obtaining dense ultra-fine fiber woven and knit fabric having soft and puffy handle and capable of readily removing a sea component. CONSTITUTION:The ultra-fine fiber is produced by dissolving and/or degrading and removing a sea component using a sea-island type conjugate fiber formed from an island component mainly consisting of two or more kinds of ultra-fine fiber components of 0.3-0.001 denier and a sea component consisting of at least copolyester component composed of sodium sulfoisophthalate/terephthalate to make the fiber ultra-fine.
