PURPOSE: To stick and bond biologically active protein and composition containing protein to substrate. CONSTITUTION: Adhesive compound made of non-proteinous polymer of monomer unit containing 9 or less pK values and aromatic part substituted with least one hydroxyl group is applied to substrate, and then brought into contact with protein. Bead made of non-proteinous polymer of monomer unit containing 9 or less pH values and aromatic part substituted with at least one hydroxyl group is also provided. The bead is covered with the protein. The compound and the substrate applied with the bead can be used for sticking cell and tissue to the substrate, array of cell type, execution of immunoassay, execution of chromatography and removal of the protein from the specimen.
