<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a measuring device main body, use time effective ly, and apply a single expansive operating unit to plural main bodies by performing measuring, self diagnosing, and the like in parallel through the measuring device main body. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device main body 100 is composed of a microcomputer 107 measuring the characteristic of an object to be measured and processing data, a memory 109, and a communication control device 110. While, an expansive operating unit 200 mechanically separable from the main body 100 is composed of a floppy disc device storing programs suitable to the main body 100, a microcomputer 202 reading out the content of a memory 109 according to the program and performing the self diagnosis of the main body 100, and the like independent of a microcomputer 107, a communication control device 201, a display panel 204 displaying measured data and the result of the self diagnosis, and an operating portion 205 selecting any of guide menus on the operation of the device main body 100.</p> |
