PURPOSE:To provide a resonance-type photoacoustic flow cell in which no valve structure is adopted. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a transparent measuring tube 30 for passing a sample are held by a pair of retaining tubes 32. By the difference between the sample passing sectional area inside the measuring tube 30 and that inside the retaining tube 32, acoustic impedance boundary surfaces are provided to both ends of the measuring tube 30, so that the measuring tube 30 is made to be an acoustically closed pipe by the acoustic impedance boundary surfaces. Thereby, the sound waves produced in a liquid sample 31 by the irradiation of laser beams 100 cause resonance, and this is detected by an acoustic sensor 34. |
