PROTECTING GUM SOLUTION COATING TREATMENT APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a liquid emitting orifice due to the drying of protective gum by providing a liquid weighing roll weighing the amount of the protective gum solution applied to a planographic printing plate and a protective gum solution supply means controlling the opening and closing plug of the liquid emitting orifice by compressed air. CONSTITUTION:A planographic printing plate 1 from which a non-image part is dissolved and removed is fed in the direction shown by an arrow A to be fed in a protective gum coating process and held between a protective gum coating roll 5 receiving the transmission of the driving force due to a drive means to be rotated and a backup roll 6 to be coated with a protective gum solution and the coated printing plate is fed out to a protective gum solution drying process. The protective gum solution coating process consists of a waste solution primary storage tank 17 and a roll washing mechanism 36 and a protective gum solution supply mechanism is constituted of the protective gum solution coating roll 5, the backup roll 6, a liquid weighing roll 7, a protective gum solution supply means and a waste solution tank 8. The liquid weighing roll 7 is supported by a pair of side plates through the bearings provided toward the center of the rotary shaft of the protective gum solution coating roll 5.
