PURPOSE:To convert atmosphere, carbon dioxide, a main cause substance of warming of the earth, to carbon monoxide and an aromatic hydrocarbon important as raw material for organic chemical industries. CONSTITUTION:Carbon dioxide is blended with propane or propylene as a reducing agent for carbon dioxide in any ratio in the presence of a catalyst selected from vanadium pentoxide supported on alumina, potassium-vanadium pentoxide supported on alumina, gallium supported on HGSM-5, platinum supported on HGSM-5 and zinc supported on HGSM-5 and converted to produce carbon monoxide and an aromatic material. |
