PURPOSE: To make it possible to control the temperature of humidified gas so that a general person can effectively select the temperature by controlling the temperature of a heating plate and controlling the temperature of water in a humidification room at a temperature having a fixed difference more than a peripheral ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION: A power supply source 40 respectively supplies power to an ambient temperature converter at a point 46 in a circuit network in which a resistance change type temperature sensor 45 is arranged, a differential temperature selector based upon a variable resistor at a point 48 and a heating plate temperature converter at a point 50. When a user sets up a differential temperature selected by controlling a selector on a humidifier panel, signals supplied from the selector and the ambient temperature converter are added on the non-inversion input side of an operational amplifier 44. When the added signal is larger than a signal supplied from the heating plate temperature converter to the inversion input side, the amplifier 44 supplies a signal to the gate 36 of a triac 34 to turn on a heating element 32. At the time, an LED 50 is turned on and a heating state is displayed.
