PURPOSE: To provide a boundary layer stirring device for cooling a glass platen for a printing device as for an electrophotographic printing device. CONSTITUTION: The boundary layer stirring device for eliminating heat from the platen of a copying device is obtained by improving a scanning reflector 18 and one part thereof is shaped to be like a shovel. In the midst of a scanning action, an air current is sent by the reflector 18 in order to peel a heat boundary layer from the lower part of the platen glass 12 and stir it. Besides, the reflector 18 is shaped so that air can be sent toward a lamp assembly. Thus, cooling ability is enhanced. As the result that the shape of the reflector 18 is changed, a cooling characteristic in the cavity of an optical system is enhanced and a low-output air blower whose noise level is low can be used in the cavity of the optical system. |
