<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a utility efficiency of a transmission capacity in existence in voice information from being essentially deteriorated by providing a P/D in an interface of an ATM exchange station, so as to avoid echo compensation and a cost-consuming network structure depending on desired voice quality sufficiently. CONSTITUTION: Connection between STM exchanges (STM1 and STM2) is formed by through-connection via an ATM exchange station (ATM1). Thus, respective communication parts of a plurality of incoming time slots are multiplexed and assembled into packets as communciation cells of equal length, without taking position of a time slot in a pulse frame structure in the STM transmission mode into account. A plurality of incoming time slots are through- connected to a same switch frame output belonging to an ATM exchange station in a exchange destination direction.</p> |
