SPEECH INFORMATION RETRIEVAL AND REPRODUCTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the speech information retrieval and reproduction device which speedily retrieves and reproduces desired information among many pieces of speech information. CONSTITUTION:The speech information retrieval and reproduction device is equipped with a word spotting part 3 which extracts position information having a specific key word from a source speech file stored in a speech file storage part 1, a reproduction position control part 51 which calculates a reproduction position pointer for skip/back reproduction according to the position information on the key word and a listener's indication, and a reproduction control part 54 which reproduces a speech by using the reproduction position pointer and speech file, and this speech information retrieval and reproduction device is further equipped with a voiced/voiceless part detection part which sections the speech file into several files at constant-time voiceless parts prior to word spotting.
