PURPOSE:To efficiently input a musical score by using a pointing device with a button. CONSTITUTION:When the button provided in the pointing device 109 is pressed, a cursor position read part 107 sotres the cursor position when the button is pressed in a storage part 102 and a time read part 108 stores the time in the storage part 102 at the same time. A note display part 104 displays the note of the pitch of the sound corresponding to the cursor position when the button is pressed on a display 110. While the button is pressed, the length of the sound is displayed in order at a note display part 104 according to the elapsed time from the time of the start of the button depression. When the button is released, the cursor position read part 107 reads the current cursor position and decides whether or not there is a accidental or dot symbol and its kind. An accidental display part 105 displays accidentals such as '#' or 'b' on a display 110 and a dot symbol display part 106 displays symbols such as dot symbols and double dot symbols. |
