PURPOSE:To provide a synthesized speech sentence which has a higher degree of freedom and obtain a synthesized speech which is closer to a human voice. CONSTITUTION:A sentence or paragraph is generated on a word processor 1. An interface circuit 2 repeats the ASCII code signal outputted by the word processor 1. A buffer memory 2 stores the ASCII code signal passed through the interface circuit 2. A dictionary memory 7 previously stores data for making intonations of voicing and speeds between paragraphs correspond to every word and paragraph. A conversion control circuit 4 reads the ASCII code signal out of the buffer memory 3 and looks up the dictionary memory 7 to convert the signal into a digital speech signal. A synthesizer circuit 9 adjusts the intonations of voicing, speeds, and intervals of the converted digital speech signal. A sound recording memory 5 stores the output of the synthesizer circuit 9. A speech reproducing circuit 6 converts the output of the synthesizer 9 into an analog speech signal, which is inputted to a speaker 8. |
