PURPOSE:To improve the operating accuracy of a target device that is a transmission target without impairing a fundamental function in optical light transmission CONSTITUTION:In the transmission equipment of an optical transmission system in which an optical signal from another connected optical transmission equipment is received by a light receiving part 10, and a multiplex processing part 13 performs the multiplex processing of a received optical signal corresponding to a clock signal oscillating from a clock oscillation part 12, and also, preset information on which the multiplex processing is performed is held at an output holding part 14, and furthermore, cyclic transmission to the target device is performed at need, a signal to stop the oscillation of the clock signal is outputted to the clock oscillation part 12 when no reception of the optical signal is detected, and the oscillation of the clock signal by the clock oscillation part 12 is stopped. |
