PURPOSE: To reduce jitter against pulse arrival time by providing a band limit element apart by spatially to a transmission channel in a solution optical fiber communciation system consisting of a large number of intermediate frequency non-electronic amplifiers spatially apart from each other. CONSTITUTION: Each band limit element is an optical filter with a frequency band of Bf in relation to each intermediate frequency amplifier, and the frequency band Bf is selected within Bsol (Nf /3)<1/2> , where Bsol is full width half maximum(FWHM) spectral band of a soliton pulse and Nf is number of intermediate frequency filters in the system. In general, the band limit element is selected, so that number of the band limit elements affected by jitter fluctuation <δt<2> >, including no band limit element covers 90% of the band limit elements in the system. Thus, the system overcomes a Gorden-House limit in a bit speed/ distance product. |
