KANJI READING ADDING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To add the Japanese reading to the KANJI (Chinese character) compound words at a high speed and with no deterioration of accuracy in a Japanese word processing system. CONSTITUTION:A KANJI string reading edging part 21 refers to a Japanese word dictionary 40 for the given KANJI string (KANJI compound word) and extracts the longest character string coincident with the second and subsequent characters from the head of the KANJI string. The Japanese reading of the KANJI string is acquired from the dictionary 40 and sent to a reading editing part 23. If the coincident character string is not extracted, the KANJI string is sent to a single KANJI reading abiding part 22. The part 22 separates the head one of the KANJI string and acquires the Japanese reading of the separated character from a single KANJI dictionary 50 and sends this reading to the part 23. Meanwhile the remaining character strings are given to the part 21. This processing is repeated until the KANJI string does not exist any more. Then the pert 23 arranges the given Japanese reading in order and outputs them.
