PURPOSE:To provide an image receiving paper which produces a proper contrast even when a donor sheet with a difficulty in developing a contrast is used by coating the image receiving surface thereof with a hot melting substance with a higher melting point than that of the ink of a hot melting ink layer of a heat transfer paper (donor sheet). CONSTITUTION:In a system in which a hot melt transfer is done with a thermal head to record on an image receiving paper by putting it on the coated layer surface of a donor sheet having a hot melting ink layer applied on a support, the image receiving surface of the paper is coated with a hot melting substance with a melting point higher than that of an ink layer of the donor sheet, preferably a wax-like substance with the melting point of 50-200 deg.C (e.g. paraffin wax). |
