PURPOSE:To transfer a packet to an optical signal amplifier or an optical signal terminal equipment even when a sub-net is divided due to a fault by registering a path to a specific optical signal terminal equipment onto an optical signal terminal equipment path information table means in advance. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with plural sub-nets 5, optical signal amplifiers 3a, 3b, 3c connected in series and two optical signal terminal equipments (NE), 1, 2 terminating an optical signal from the amplifiers. A monitoring controller 4 applies monitoring-control to the state of the subnets 5 via a monitoring information transmission network 7. The NEs 1, 2 always monitor the amplifiers 3a, 3b, 3c and confirm and register the communication state for each of the amplifiers 3a, 3b, 3c to the monitor controller 4 when fault occurrence takes place. Then when monitoring control information is transferred to the amplifiers 3a, 3b, 3c, an address is designated and the data are sent. |
