PURPOSE:To optimize the setting of photographing at the time of shielding light by deciding the state of back light based on a difference between the brightness of an object and the brightness of a background and correcting the brightness value of the object. CONSTITUTION:A DELTABV value is obtained, which is a value obtained by subtracting a main BV value as a photometric value from a 2nd photometry window 24a whose photometry range is a comparatively wide area B including the object and the background in a photographing range from a sub object brightness value (sub BV value) as a photometric value from a 1st photometry window 24b whose photometry range is a comparatively narrow area A where the object in the center of the photographing range is set as center. The DELTABV value is compared with a reference value previously set, and the main BV value is used as it is when the entire photographing range is comparatively bright, or when the state of the back light is comparatively small, or when photographing is performed by a bulb function. When the brightness of the photographing range is comparatively low and the degree of the back light is comparatively high, the object brightness BV value is corrected in accordance with the degree of the back light in a state where the on/off of a stroboscope is set as a condition. |
