<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the variation in varistor voltage while contriving to lower voltage, to prevent the diffusion of an internal electrode to improve pulse resistance and to lower a firing temperature to reduce a manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor ceramic layers 2 and internal electrodes 3 are laminated alternately, the laminated body is integrally sintered so that a sintered body 4 is formed, and one end edge 3a of the internal electrode 3 is led through both end faces 4a, 4b of the sintered body 4 so that a laminated varistor 1 is constituted. Also, the ceramic layer 2 is constituted by ceramic material containing ZnO as main ingredient and at least one of 5mol% and less Bi, Mn, Co, Sb, Si, B, Pb as an accessory ingredient. Further, the mean particle diameter of the ceramic material is less than 7mum and the thickness of the ceramic layer is less than 100mum. Besides, the internal electrode is constituted by metallic materials comprising Ag and Pd in the weight ratio of Ag: Pd=(1-X):X, 0.05<=X<=0.5.</p> |
