<p>A machine for generating, by grinding, any optical or ophtalmic lens surface made of organic or mineral glass, comprising a frame (2), a lens support (3) and a grinding wheel support (4) movably mounted on the frame (2), means (11, 12, 13) for effecting the pivot movements of said supports (3, 4) in relation to one another according to a pivot axis (YY') and movements of translation according to axes (XX', ZZ') defining a plane perpendicular to the pivot axis (YY'), a ring shaped grinding wheel (5) rotating about its own rotational axis (6) orthogonal to pivot axis (YY') the machine is characterized in that it further includes vertical shifting means (100, 108, 109, 110) for shifting the grinding wheels on rotational axis (6) in relation to the plane defined by the translational axes (XX', ZZ'). The invention also concerns a process implemented in said machine.</p> |
