3,5-dialkyl-4-hydroxyphenyalkanoic acid esters of 2,4,6-tris-(alkanolamino) derivatives of s-triazine can be prepared by reacting a 3,5-dialkyl-4-hydroxyphenylalkanoic acid with a 2,4,6-tris-(alkanolamino)-s-triazine. An example of such a compound is 2,4,6-tris-[3'-(3'' ,5'' -dit-t-butyl-4''-hydroxyphenyl)propionoxyethylamino]-1,3,5-triazine. These compounds are useful as stabilizers of organic substrates subject to oxidative and thermal degradation.
