A compact galley is built in the form of a vertical cylinder. There are several horizontal shelves of circular section placed one above another for storage of crockery and food, with one used for food preparation. At the base of the column unit is a socket for electrical power and there is provision for a water supply with drainage. The kitchen has a vertical semi-cylindrical backplate extending the full height of the cylinder and there is a front door, also semi-cylindrical and of full height. Its inner diameter equals the outer diameter of the backplate and it can rotate about the axis of the cylinder so that when fully open, it slides behind the backplate. ADVANTAGE - Simple, compact galley which can be easily dismantled and can be completely closed off from surroundings.
