CONNECTING UNIT

A connecting unit is proposed comprising a socket pin (4) made of a non-rigid plastic, which can be inserted in an aperture. The pin (4) is provided with a through-drilling (8) into which can be screwed an expanding mandrel (5) of more rigid material. The socket pin (4) is provided at one end with a radial annular flange (6). The expanding mandrel (5) comprises a shank (11) with an outer thread (12) and an expanding head (13) which tapers conically towards the shank (11). The expanding head (13) can be pulled into the socket pin (4) by means of a socket spanner (16), thereby creating a secure and leakproof connection.
