A system of shuttering for casting a prefab. concrete staircase consists of two parallel side members (40) mounted in a supporting frame. The individual steps are formed by elements (72) of hollow rectangular cross-section supported on an arm (88). This arm is pivoted to the supporting structure and can be held at an angle to suit the required height of the staircase. The horizontal depth of each step is fixed at the value (T) which is the width of each step element (72). The vertical height (H) of each step can be varied by adjusting the height of each step element above the arm (88). USE/ADVANTAGE - Prefab. concrete staircase. The height can be adjusted to suit the dimensions of the building in which the staircase is to be installed.
