Precisely adjustable liq. flow divider - for partial liq. recycle to countercurrent column

A liq. flow divider, for a coutner-current column, divides a liq. stream into the desired withdrawal and recycle streams and has a lower section divided by a partition into two chambers, each having an outlet nozzle. The novelty is that the chambers are closed by a plate (4) having at least two openings (5) which are located above the withdrawal covered by a rotatable disc (8), the disc (8) having at least one opening (8a) which more or less covers the plate openings (5) depending on its rotational position. ADVANTAGE - The flow divider has small vol., low construction cost and a wide loading range and allows stepless adjustment of the desired recycle ratio with high reliability and dividing precision.
