Disinfectants which are effective against unpackaged, hydrophilic and weakly lipophilic viruses contain in an aqueous, or preferably alcoholic, solution between 0.1-1 wt % (0.2-0.6 wt %) of basic or acidically hydrolysing salts of strong inorganic acids or weak organic acids, preferably chlorides, nitrates or sulphates of silver- or zinc anions or lactates.
