Disclosed is a series of iodine derivatives of tetrabenazine, including compounds such as 2-hydroxy-2-iodovinyl-3-(2-methylpropyl)-9, 10-dimethoxy-1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11b-hexahydro-2H-benzo[a]quinolizine. Tests indicate that these compounds are useful as imaging agents for evaluation of the central nervous system (CNS) neuronal system. |
