PURPOSE:To carry out precise temperature and humidity control with rapid response and to make it possible to perform ideal drying for laver, by using absolute humidity as an indicator for humidity control and controlling heating parts and humidifying parts by pulse width modulation. CONSTITUTION:A drainboard 1 having raw laver is transported to the central part of a dryer by a transporting chain 2, first transferred in the arrow direction by a transporting chain 4' of a drying chamber 3' at the right hand side, then in the arrow direction by a transporting chain 4 of a drying chamber 3 at the left hand side and sent to a releasing device by the transporting chain 2. In the operation, a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor are set at given positions of the left and the right drying chambers 3 and 3', a relative humidity signal from the humidity sensor is converted into an absolute humidity signal by referring to a temperature signal from the temperature sensor. an amount of heat generation at heating parts 6 and 6' and and a humidifying amount at humidifying parts 7 and 7' are controlled based on the temperature signal and the absolute humidity signal by pulse width modulation. |
