The invention concerns a lorry chassis with a chassis frame (1), a front axle (3) for steerable wheels (14) and two rear axles (4, 5). The invention constitutes a new chassis, and one which has particular advantages for use in public utility vehicles. The chassis according to the invention is characterized in that at least the two rear axles (4, 5) are provided with drivable wheels (15, 16), the rearmost rear axle (5) is provided with steerable wheels (15), and intermediate beams (17) are provided to transmit the load from the chassis frame (1) to the rear axles (4, 5). The intermediate beams (17) run along both sides of the chassis frame (1) along the longitudinal axis of the chassis, and pivot about a point (18) in the chassis frame (1) between the two rear axles (4, 5). This solution satisfies the requirements of public utility vehicles, particularly with regard to manoeuvrability and off-the-road characteristics.
