IMPROVED CAM FOR REVOLVING DOBBY

A cam (5) for a revolving dobby is integral with an annular plate (7) having an upstanding rim (8) and dobby keying lovers (9, 10) are pivotally mounted on the plate (7) for selective keying engagement with the drive shaft (14). Control and auxiliary pushers (20, 19) have respective superimposed teeth (18, 17) which can penetrate notches (15) in the rim (8) to release the keying levers (9, 10) and arrest the cam respectively. To prevent damage when the pushers are actuated at a time when the teeth are not aligned with a notch (15) the tooth (18) of the control pusher is mounted on the latter by an arm (28) which is spring (29) loaded on the pusher. The auxiliary pusher also has a spring loading (25).
