An antibacterial porous inorganic capsule comprises one or more than one antibacterial agents and water-insoluble porous inorganic compound encapsulating the antibacterial agents. The antibacterial agent or agents are selected from antibacterial zeolite, antibacterial zirconium, antibacterial apatite, silver oxide, zinc oxide, zinc sulfide and copper sulfide. The antibacterial powder does not decrease its antibacterial effects when it is mixed with synthetic resin or binder, and the antibacterial powder is free from discoloration due to metal ions. <IMAGE>
