<p>The method and device for injecting or introducing, according to the invention, make it possible to inject or to introduce a product into a cigarette rod (12A). In this manner it is possible to modify the flavour, respectively increasing it or reducing it, of the smoke during the combustion of the cigarette. In order that the injected product can be precisely metered, its injection takes place when the tobacco rod is formed, just before it is completely surrounded by its paper wrapper (14). A support (21) enables the position of the injection nozzle (20) to be regulated in order for the aperture (20A) thereof to penetrate to the interior of the rod and create an empty space in the centre of the rod, the product then being injected into this empty space. The injected product may be in the form of a liquid, vaporised or not, in the form of a gel, a paste or a powder.
