Ozone concns. in air are measured by passing light from a UV source down one leg of a U-shaped sampling tube and back up the other leg after reflection by a pair of mirrors. It is then collected by a photo-detector, the signal converted in frequency, amplified and passed to a micro-processor, in which it is processed in accordance with the Beer-Lambert law and stored in the memory. The micro-computer can be programmed to activate the system automatically and establish a measurement routine, opt. with an alerting device.
