A fairing construction for fairing between adjacent cars (1) of a vehicle, particularly a railway train, forms a flush connection between end peripheries of adjacent cars (1). To accommodate changes in relative orientation of the cars (1), the fairing construction (2) has resiliently compressible elements (6) connected in series with freely extensible guides (8) between the cars (1). The compressible elements (6) cushion movements of the car peripheries towards one another, and carry an outer fairing face (7) of the construction (2). When the car peripheries become widely spaced, the compression elements (6) separate and are kept in longitudinal alignment by the freely extensible guides (8). A resilience adjuster may be provided to adjust the resilience of the compression elements (6) according to the vehicle speed and track curvature. <IMAGE>
