Device for aligning objects such as bags. This device consists of a sloping conveyor belt. The underside of this sloping conveyor belt is adjacent to a fixed plate- shaped guide. This plate-shaped guide makes an angle of between 35 and 55 degree with the horizontal, while the conveying means are roughly perpendicular to the plate- shaped guide. The extent of the guide in the direction perpendicular to the conveying means corresponds to at least half the largest dimension of the object to be turned.
