The invention relates to a frame for a motorcycle, comprising means for securing a main component in the frame. The present invention provides means for attaching the main component, which is formed by an auxiliary frame which is to be secured in the frame. Using an auxiliary frame means that only the auxiliary frame has to be adapted to the type of gearbox or engine, and the same main frame can be employed.
