<p>The invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of an object on a predetermined surface of a conveyor. It is characterised in that - a plurality of predetermined surfaces to be monitored is defined in the area of passage of the reception surfaces, - the arrival of a reception surface is detected - the process is initialised, - the light reflected at each predetermined surface is monitored - at least one of the abrupt light variations due to the passage, at each monitored surface, of an area of colour contrasting with that of the receiving surface is detected, - the number of abrupt variations detected at the same time is counted, and the number of variations is stored, - a new storage means is switched to, and so on, - the monitoring of the light reflected is continued as long as the receiving surface is not detected, - when the end of the receiving surface is detected, the sum of the counting results is taken and the said sum is compared with a predetermined value. <IMAGE></p> |
