<p>The invention relates to a method for manufacturing rectangular frames, especially window frames from plastic profile sections, in which method four plastic profile sections which have been cut to length and mitred are clamped into a four-head welding machine using exchangeable welding inserts corresponding to the profile cross-section and are welded together at all the mitred surfaces simultaneously while being subjected to heat and pressure, welding beads being formed, and in which the frames are subsequently delivered to a trimming machine for machining of the welding beads which have formed. In order to be able to carry out the method in a relatively small space without excessive investment costs and to ensure that the capacity of a modern and rapid corner-trimming machine can be exploited in an economical fashion, at least two four-head welding machines which are arranged on a turntable are alternately provided with the plastic profile sections and the plastic frames are alternately welded.</p> |
