1. Device for cutting grooves in the surfaces of building elements made of crumbling materials, having a cutting unit mounted in a housing which rolls or slides over the worked surface, characterized in that the cutting unit has three tool spindles (1, 1, 2) which are perpendicular to the worked surface and arranged to form an isosceles triangle, two of which (1,1), being situated at the base vertices of the triangle, contain slotting mills (3) whose cutting section has a length greater than the depth (h) of the groove, while fastened in the remaining spindle (2) is a cutting disc (4), whose cutting plane is defined by the fronts of the slotting mills (3) and whose diameter (D) corresponds to the spacing of the spindles (1) of the slotting mills (3), where the cutting disc (4) has central offsets of such depth that the elements fastening it onto the spindle (2) are situated above the cutting plane, and immediately in front of the spindle (2) of the cutting disc (4) and behind the spindles (1) of the slotting mills (3) is a crumbling element (5) which acts on the cut material in a direction towards the outside of the worked surface.<IMAGE>
