PURPOSE:To provide a hardening neutral bone forming material having no toxicity in an organism, generating a nearly neutral object after chemical reaction is completed, and excellent in forming a bone by kneading the mixed powder of the burned inorganic animal bone meal and an oxide of the Group II metal and the chitosan sol dissolved by acid. CONSTITUTION:Animal bone is burnt into only an inorganic object in the burning process S1, and the animal bone is crushed to form animal bone meal in the crushing process S2. The animal bone meal is mixed with an oxide of the Group II metal such as zinc oxide and calcium oxide, for example, at the preset mixing ratio to form mixed powder in the mixing process S3, and the mixed powder is kneaded with the chitosan sol dissolved by acid in the kneading process S4. The pH of this hardening neutral bone forming material is within 6-8 after it is prepared and hardened, no dental pulp trouble occurs, and it is excellent as a root canal filling material, a bone filling material, a bone cement in fixing a pyorrhea tooth or forming a bone.
