PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer image of high image quality by providing an ink thickening means mixing a fixing agent for increasing the viscosity of ink with the ink of a visible image. CONSTITUTION:A fixing agent coating mechanism 10 is provided as an ink thickening means for increasing the viscosity of the ink of a visible image. A vinyl acetate emulsion or gelatin is injected in a mist form as a fixing agent to increase the viscosity of the ink 2 on a recording body 4. Other than this injection system, a direct dipping system or a coating roller system may be employed. For example, in a case using gelatin, the necessary viscosity of the ink 2 can be set to about 1000cP at the time of transfer by adjusting the concn. of gelatin to about 10wt.%. Therefore, the viscosity of the ink 2 is adjusted to 1000cP or less at the time of development and can be increased to necessary viscosity at the time of transfer. |
