<p>PURPOSE: To automatically reset a heel unit by an element which is directly controlled by whether a ski boot is set on a safety binding oppressively interconnected with the heel unit, or not. CONSTITUTION: A heel unit for a safety binding of a ski comprising an automatic reset means, comprises a heel unit body 2 which can be fixed to the ski 3 and supports a jaw part for gripping a ski boot, a operating system 20 acting on the grip jaw part is connected with a spring which is calibratable so that it removably hold the grip jaw part to a ski boot fixing position. When the ski boot is removed from the safety binding, a pedal 40 energizes the operating system and opens the jaw part by the interaction with the ski boot.</p> |
